Superb hidden gem! Easily the best accommodation in Mareeba, rooms are great, staff are super friendly and helpful and food is awesome.
A quick 5 minute drive out of Mareeba is one of the friendliest, tidiest, best kept motels I've ever stayed in. The owners are hospitable and helpful, the amenities are comfortable and good quality and being just out of town makes it nice and quiet day and night. Plenty of off street parking, nearby supermarket & 24hr servos, nice gardens and a restaurant and bar means guests don't want for anything. Would make a great base for a touring holiday around the rainforest, tablelands and Cape York, it has a really nice country feel to it rather than being in another suburban area. You actually feel like you are on holiday, it's nice.
Spent the last few nights here. Lovely spacious rooms and very clean. Great site just off the main road was very quiet. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Gardens are great for birds. Restaurant meals were very generous and great quality. Thoroughly recommended.
We stayed here as a base for sightseeing in Chillagoe. The rooms, gardens, and pool were all well maintained and we felt so comfortable that we extended our stay and enjoyed our stay. The pool was slightly warm even in the evening or morning. The manager was very hospitable, bringing us pool towels when he saw us heading to the pool and greeting us with a smile.
It is a lovely place to unwind after a big day, owned, and run by a wonderful couple that do an amazing job! The meals are delicious too 👌
A family of 3 from Brisbane who came up for a birthday and a funeral. We stayed for 3 nights. River was so accommodating and made sure our room was ready for when we arrived from Cairns a little early. Room was pretty standard but has everything you need. Was neat and tidy too, beds and pillows comfortable. The customer service and grounds were what made it for us. Lovely grassed area for our 6yo to run around, plus the pool is lovely. Asked if we could have family members who were also up come over so we could all catch up. That was no problem… all the kids enjoyed the pool and grassed area. And great that they have a bar for us adults! So pretty to sit on the grassed area of a night time too. Very quiet and peaceful. Family who were staying elsewhere wished they’d booked where we were. Would definitely stay at Mareeba Motor Inn again.

Wow. What can we say. Had 3 fabulous nights with Clint and Jo. They make you feel like family and go above and beyond with service and good old fashioned country hospitaluty . We were sad to leave. Rooms great and comfy beds.. Food delicious. If you are in the area you would be crazy to stay anywhere else. Was one of many highlights of our FNQ holiday. Thanks guys. Miss you. Denisse and Mick
Clint and Jo are amazing people, they went above and beyond for us, nothing was too much to ask of them. The motel is set in a country style with a lovely pool, nice grassed areas, restaurant that has amazing food and great prices. Room service is also available. Rooms are clean and tidy with comfortable beds. We highly recommend staying here so you too can appreciate this lovely motel and fantastic customer service. The service is as lovely as the place. Beautiful setting, nice rooms and great parking. Just the right distance from town. Front desk offers most of what you would need for a reasonable price.
We stay in Mareeba couple of times in a year but this was the first time staying at Mareeba Motor Inn and both my husband and I loved this motel!! We stayed in an updated room which was clean and really nicely renovated. The motel was far enough from highway and all the noises of cars and very pleasant to stay. Bed was also comfortable to sleep. We had dinner at the motel restaurant. We both had steak and chips, and they were amazing! It’d be one of the best steak n chips in Mareeba! We thought we need to get drinks or grab some food in town but we ended up not leaving motel till check out because everything we needed was at the motel which was convenient. People there were also very friendly and helpful. We’d definitely come back here!
Motel rooms are lovely and clean, room I stayed in was recently renovated. Gardens are all neat and tidy. The entire place looks great. Meals were beautiful. Owners are very nice people and were very helpful. Definitely stay here again
What a gem, hidden off the main road in Mareeba. I was greeted very warmly by Jo in reception. She was so helpful and had me settled in and sorted with no fuss at tall. My room was bright clean and immaculate. The bed is super comfy and I had a choice of pillows. I had dinner and breakfast and enjoyed nice wine and chat in the friendly dining room and bar. The food was fresh and cooked beautifully. It was super hot day so I took advantage of a swim in the pool which is set within a lovely tropical garden. The motel itself is so quiet and tranquil .I heard no traffic or noise from other guests. As a Solo female traveller I felt super safe and will definitely stay again.
My husband and I are on vacation this week and needed a place to stay for the night. The roads up to Port Douglas were closed due to repairs and/or severe flooding. It was close to 9pm, down-pouring, and we needed to get off the road. After driving past several hotels that were closed, we finally found this quaint location that had everything we needed. Rooms are bright, clean and the beds are comfy. Highly recommend!

The most homely Motel I have been to. Beautiful little green backyard with lawn, flowers and pool. Don't miss the amazing lasagna for dinner after a hard day of work or a long day of travel. The owners and the whole team are very lovely. Feels like you are visiting your friends. Will be definitely back!

Pleasently supprised at this motel. Mainly demountable but they are will laid out inside, clean and tidy. We had a family room which had a bedroom with a comfy double bed. The living area had a double bunk and a futon which folded out to a double bed. Gardens were simple bit nice with an outside table and a pool area. Road noise was minimal and didn't disturb us at all even with windows open. Would definitely stay there again
